Akanetti Studio is a small, one-person shop run by an artist based in Tokyo.
It's very much a work in progress — a bit like the Sagrada Família — and I'm learning as I go. It may not offer the same level of service as a large retailer, but I'm doing my best to improve it little by little. Thank you so much for visiting.
Payment processing and privacy protection are handled by trusted professional services, so those parts are in safe hands.
You may occasionally spot some unexpected Japanese text hiding somewhere — if that happens, Google Translate is your friend!

All Items — Shipping

Q. Do you ship internationally?

A. Yes, we ship worldwide. Please note that customs duties and import taxes may apply depending on your country and are the responsibility of the buyer.

Q. How much does shipping cost?

A. Shipping costs vary by destination and product type. You can view the total shipping cost at checkout before completing your purchase.

Q. Will I be charged separate shipping fees if I order both artwork and apparel?

A. We're sorry for any inconvenience. Original artwork and apparel (T-shirts) are shipped from different locations, so separate shipping fees apply when they are ordered together. The combined shipping total will be shown at checkout.

T-Shirts

Q. How are T-shirts produced?

A. T-shirts are made to order by a trusted print-on-demand partner.

Q. How are T-shirts shipped?

A. T-shirts are printed and shipped directly from our production partner's facilities around the world. Please allow approximately 2–4 weeks for delivery, depending on your location.

Original Artwork

Q. What is the difference between Original Artwork and Prints?

A. Original Artwork refers to one-of-a-kind, hand-created artworks.
Because each artwork is created by hand, no two pieces are ever exactly the same. Even if a similar theme or character appears in future works, each original artwork remains unique.
Prints are high-quality reproductions of selected original works, making it possible to own a piece of Akanetti Studio art at a more accessible price point. Prints may be available in either limited or open editions.

Q. Can I commission a custom piece?

A. Commissions are considered on a limited basis. Please contact us via the contact form to discuss your idea.

Original Artwork — Shipping

Q. How long does shipping take for original artwork?

A. Domestic orders typically arrive within 3–7 business days. International orders generally take 7–21 days, although delivery times may vary depending on the destination country and customs processing.

Q. When will my original artwork be shipped?

A. All original artworks are currently on display at an exhibition and will begin shipping in July.
As a one-person operation, shipping may take a little time. Thank you in advance for your patience. Each artwork is carefully packed by hand, often using recycled packaging materials wherever possible.

Returns & Exchanges

Q. Can I cancel my order after placing it? (T-shirts)

A. Orders may be cancelled before production begins.
Please note that all T-shirts are made to order and may enter production shortly after an order is placed. Once production has started or an item has been shipped, cancellations are no longer possible.
If you need to make a change to your order, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to help.

Q. Can I return or exchange artwork (original paintings or prints)?

A. All artwork — including original paintings and prints — is non-returnable and non-refundable due to the nature of art pieces. Please feel free to contact us with any questions before purchasing.

Q. What is the return policy for apparel (T-shirts)?

A. Our apparel is produced on demand.
Quality issues or shipping errors
If your order arrives with a manufacturing defect or was damaged in transit, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with a description and photo of the issue, and we will take care of the rest.
Customer preference
If you ordered the wrong size, selected the wrong item, or simply changed your mind, we are unable to offer a free reprint or refund. As all items are made to order, we appreciate your careful selection before purchasing.
Brazil
Under the "right of regret" policy, customers in Brazil have the legal right to cancel an order within 7 days of receipt. Please contact us via the contact form if this applies to you.
European Union
Under EU consumer protection law, customers may have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of receiving their order. Please note that this right may not apply to made-to-order or personalised items. If you believe this applies to your order, please contact us via the contact form.
